Kick off the start of Summer with one of these delicious and refreshing smoothies for National Smoothie Day!

Here are three of our favorite, tried and tested smoothie recipes formulated by our team of Nutritionists and Dietitians. Look out for superfood ingredients such as turmeric, a known anti-inflammatory, flaxseed, packed with omega-3 fatty acids, and of course, plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. These recipes also contain our infamous Metabolic Super Protein, a high-quality whey protein designed to curb hunger, boost performance, and improve mobility.

Peaches and Cream Smoothie

Serves: 2

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen peaches 
  • 1 cup milk of choice 
  • 1 scoop Metabolic Super Protein – vanilla 
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal 
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric 

Instructions

Place frozen peaches, milk, protein, flaxseed, turmeric in a blender. Pulse a few times, then puree until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.  

Coconut Mixed Berry Smoothie

Serves: 2

Instructions

  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries 
  • ½ cup unsweetened coconut milk 
  • 1 scoop Metabolic Super Protein – Chocolate 
  • ½ cup coconut flakes 
  • 1-ounce baby spinach 

Instructions

Place frozen mixed berries, milk, protein powder, coconut flakes and spinach in a blender. Pulse a few times, then puree until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.  

Rise and Shine Smoothie

Serves: 2

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup dairy-free yogurt, or Greek yogurt
  • 1 scoop Metabolic Super Protein- Vanilla
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric 
  • ¼ teaspoon fresh ginger, grated 
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup 

Instructions

Place ice, yogurt, protein, lemon zest, lemon juice, turmeric, ginger, and maple syrup in a blender. Pulse a few times, then puree until smooth, scraping down the sides as necessary.
